Flores is the main jumping off point for visiting Komodo. The island is named “Flower” in Spanish, yet is has few flowers. I was joking with our Komodo tour guide about this, which he thought was quite amusing. There is not much to do on Flores, but it is a nice place to relax and take in the surround beauty.
