Cambodia is one of my favorite countries because of the people and the culture. The amazing temples of Angkor only make it that much better. I adjusted this photo to make it appear it was taken long ago when Angkor was being reclaimed from the jungle.

Daily Photo: Golden Buddhas, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep
Gold is everywhere at Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, even among the Buddhas. Getting to the Wat (temple) is not easy since it is perched high in the hill above Chiang Mai, but once you arrive you are greeted with dozens of golden Buddhas.

I took this photo from the top of the peak in Hong Kong. I was lucky to have a fairly nice day with little smog or haze (even though it looks pretty hazing, this is a good day from what I was told).

The Djama El Fna fills with every food vendor you could imagine, but this one really caught my eye. I’ve had some odd foods in my travels, but I’ve never eaten goat brains. Despite the vendor trying, I still haven’t had them. Maybe next time.

The Granada Cathedral dominates the plaza and the surrounding city of Granada. The vibrant colors and beautiful architecture really make this a wonderful place.

Hierapolis is perched above the travertine pools of Pamukkale in Turkey. Romans used this place as a resort to bath in the natural hot springs that have defined the landscape of Pamukkale. Poor water management has all but dried up the hot springs today, yet the surrounding ruins of Hierapolis are an impressive site.

I took this photo on a trip to Yellowstone over a year ago. I really liked the red in the water from the thermophile bacteria. The contrast between the red water and the blue sky really make the white of the geyser stand out.
